Every Atelier Florens creation can be personalised, from the choice of leather to the hot-stamping of your initials.
How it works
How it happens
You tell me about your request — a piece from my collections you'd like to personalise, or a fully custom project. Depending on the project, we can arrange a meeting to fully understand what you're looking for and the practical constraints.
We then go through the different personalisation options together, before starting the making process.
Every personalised piece is handcrafted in my workshop in Geneva, with the same care and the same traditional techniques as the rest of my creations.
Personalisation
What you can choose
Whether for a piece from my collections or an entirely custom project, several elements can be adapted to your wishes:
- The leather colour — among the shades available at the workshop (signature green, black, brown, cognac, royal blue, and others depending on availability)
- The type of leather — full-grain European leather, Japanese leather, or other origins depending on the look you're after
- The thread colour — to match or contrast with the leather colour
- Hot stamping — initials, a word or a symbol, for a discreet personal touch
- Certain combinations — depending on the piece and materials available
Depending on the request and materials selected, a surcharge may apply.
Custom-made
A bespoke creation
For a specific need — a piece that doesn't yet exist in my collections — I can design an entirely bespoke creation:
- A specific need — a use or object unique to you
- Custom dimensions — tailored to your request
- A different design — beyond existing models
- Preliminary study — to frame the project together
- Quote — provided before any production begins
- Specific lead time — communicated based on project complexity
Upcycling
Giving a material a second life
Upcycling options are also possible: a branded canvas or leather you already own can be reused within an entirely new creation, combined with handworked leather to create a one-of-a-kind piece.
This piece, for example, was made for a client from the canvas of an authentic Louis Vuitton bag, combined with black leather to create a brand-new object.
