A unique piece, made by you

During this workshop, you'll make your own 20 × 20 cm leather valet tray, perfect for holding your keys, wallet, watch or jewellery. You'll be free to choose the leathers for the front and back of your piece, so you leave with a truly unique creation.

Throughout the experience, I'll guide you step by step to pass on the traditional gestures of handcrafted leatherworking. You'll discover the pleasure of working a noble material and leave with an object as beautiful as it is functional — one that you made yourself.

The process

The steps of making it

During this workshop, you'll discover the different steps of making a leather valet tray:

  • Choosing the leathers for the two sides of the valet tray
  • Cutting the different leather pieces
  • Preparing and gluing the elements
  • Learning traditional saddle stitching, done entirely by hand
  • Finishing the edges for a clean, durable result
  • Setting the rivets
  • Personalising your creation

At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a 20 × 20 cm leather valet tray, entirely made by you.
